Ald. Bob Fioretti, 2nd Ward, and Ald. Mary Ann Smith, Chair, Parks and Recreation Committee, Chicago City Council will give opening remarks.

Registration classes at the Daley Bicentennial Plaza

Feb 22 was the online registration date for classes, I was so lucky to get to register a couple of classes for my daughters. I can see that the number is changing very fast during the registration. That means the classes are so hot and the price is so reasonable, that’s why there are so many people like to register classes here. Also I would like to point it out that there are more kids in this neighborhood compare to years ago.

This Sat the park district is still open to walk in registration, that means for people who would like to register to classes can go there to check it out. I still like one music class, so maybe I will go there to see if we will get a chance to register. The classes include preschool, tennis, ballet, tumbling, basketball, moms and pops. I remember that we started to come to the moms and pops classes while our older daughter was 9 months, I got to know lots of people in the neighborhood, our kids get to have lots of friends, so thanks to this program. I always recommend this program to new moms and they all love it.

We just got a brochure of all the classes is going to be offered at the Daley Bicentennial Plaza this fall. We would like to register our older daughter for Ballet, Tennis and Bitty Basket Ball. So this fall I will be very busy looks like. I hope that she should be able to learn something from it! The fees for each class is very reasonable, so everything looks very good to me.

I used to register for my daughters for classes here at Daley Bicentennial Plaza, they have great Moms and Pops class, I knew lots of people from the classes and my kids got to know lots of friends. If you are a new mom, this is a perfect place for you to go to hang out.

The fees are pretty cheap, $50 for a whole term, normally around 2-3 months. Here is the information for this summer program.

SUMMER 2009 PROGRAM SESSION DATES
Program information available for viewing online: Monday, April 6
Online registration begins: Monday, April 20 at 9am
In-person registration at most parks* begins: Saturday, April 25
Online registration ends: Sunday, June 14
General program session runs the weeks of: Monday, June 15 – Sunday, August 23
Camp session (for most camps) runs June 22 – July 31
