It was around 12:00 on Friday, when I came out of the bank, I could not see my car, you can imagine my heart beat went up up up and I was thinking maybe my husband is playing a joke with me since I would not believe the tow truck can work that fast!

After talking to him, I know that I have to go down to the lower wacker, there it is, just went inside their door, after waiting for more than 1 hour, paid $160, I got into my car and found an additional ticket of $60. What a price, the good thing is that I do not have to go very far, plus I do not have any of the kids with me.

But one thing I learned and would like to share with all of you is that they could be super fast, so do not leave your car in the tow zone!

In Chinese, the pronunciation of tow means steal, so later on when I told my kids about my car got towed, they thought someone stole my car, but it is an interesting link.

The neighborhood including 10 buildings:

400 E Randolph – Outer Drive East Building, built in 1963

360 E Randolph – The Buckingham building, built in 1982

155 N Harbor Dr – The Harbor Point building, built in 1973

195 N Harbor Dr – The Parkshore building, built in 1992,

222 N Columbus Dr – The Park Millennium building, built in 2001,

201 N Westshore – The Lancaster building, built in 2004,

420 E Waterside – The Regatta building, built in 2007,

340 E Randolph – The Chandler building, built in 2007,

450 E Waterside – The Chandler building, built in 2008,

225 N Columbus – The Aqua building, built in 2010.

The last 5 buildings on the list along with 2 rental buildings are in a development called Lakeshore East – so Lakeshore East is within the New Eastside neighborhood.

Currently all the Aqua rental units have been rented, there are 25 units for sale, some still by the developers and some by the unit owners.

There is a park built within Lakeshore East which has a nice kids’ playgroud, a dog park and a large green area, and there are fountains throughout the park. Right now a 50,000 square feet grocery store is coming next spring and we are still looking forward to and elementary school planned for the neighborhood.

The listing price is from $860,000 to $1,550,000. From 2 bedrooms facing north to 3 bedrooms facing south. This building is one of the best in the neighborhood, the price per square feet is higher than some of the neighborhood buildings, but from the 4 pending sales we could see that the economy is getting better. The listing prices of these units are similar to years ago, not even drop more than 5%.

Right now the grocery store is starting to built behind the 340 on the park, this will make the value of the property going up.

So I hope this is great news for everyone. Since we have lived here for a few years, from 2005, I have heard about they are going to build a new grocery store, at that time, they were talking about Treasure Island, but then since the economy go west, we heard that the store has backed out, so now we are so happy to see that Roundy’s is finally coming, we do not need to go so far any more. This grocery store has around 55,000 square feet, also has some restaurants!

Normally we would go to Trader Joe’s or Dominicks once a week, since the grocery store in the neighborhood is not big enough. Now we can save the trip!!!

This is a great three bedrooms unit at the 340 on the park. With south west  and north exposure. This unit has around 2,200 square feet.  My client likes the living room, it is spacious and has great view to the city and the lake. There is a large balcony facing south too! However, the two bedrooms are facing the blue shield and blue cross building, and the master bedroom is facing north, the new lake shore east park, however, there is a chance of being blockd by a new building.  There are great closet spaces and nice floor and kitchen. But there is not enough cabinets in the kitchen, with the listing price of $1,599,999.

There are no details of the reason why she was doing it, but I am very happy to see that she comes out OK with no injury. But she did stay at that place for around 12 hours, during this period, the police has provided some hot dog and coffee for her. Right now the three floors are still locked, including the common room which suppose open to everyone in the building.

There are lots of people underneath of the building, I saw lots of fire trucks and police cars but no nets, or maybe they thought it would not work for people jump from that high floor. We all know that this is a very nice building, the people live there must have good and stable income. So I am not sure what is the reason for this to happen. We should all love life and enjoy our life, although we might be depressed or sad sometimes, but life could go on no matter what. So let’s hope that she could finally not jump and no one would like to do this any more.

It is wrap around the corner of the east of the building, so that it has south, east, and north views. There are only three units in the building are like this one. Unit 2701 has around 2,045 square feet and the listing price is $1,299,000.

The kitchen is a designer’s kitchen and I love the bamboo floor and the floor to ceiling window. Anyway, this is a great building with not very high assessment. There is a great gym, I have never see such a large and fully equipped gym in other buildings before. The gym is on the 25th floor and it has beautiful views too. Although I have not seen this specific unit, but I do know that their standard and this should be a good buy. The listing price is $680,000. Right now we would think that a 5% discount is a given, so that could bring the price down to around $646,000. Please post your thoughts!

Plus a balcony overlooking the grand park. The only thing you may not like would be it is on a second floor, but I am sure that there are some people like low floors. If you are looking to get a good view in a nice building with great amenities and the cheapest assessment bills, this one would be your home!
